The Gerdea originated in Africa and Asia and is among the top ten most popular flowers in the world. Thinking about the vast amount of flower spices there are in the world this is quite an accomplishment.

They are available in most colours and shades & are available all year round.
The name Gerbera was given in honour of a German botanist medical doctor Traugott Gerbera born in 1710 and passed away in 1743 at the age of 33.
While in Moscow he created a medical garden while also teaching medicine at the university, there he devoted his career into looking for medicinal purposes in herbs and plants.
The Gerbera, also known as the African daisy is related to the Sunflower. The Gerbera is a perennial plant and its benefits are not only its beauty, it also attracts butterflies, birds and bees.
When deadheaded they continue to flower for six months.
The Gerbera is the birth flower of April and the sentiment behind the flower is well being, innocence, purity and friendship...

It is easy to see why this amazing flower is one of the most popular flowers on the market today...
