Ranunculus are available to you via mail order. And come in the form of a bulb described as looking as if it resembles a spider. Ranunculus are available November through to June. As a bulb they can be planted in the autumn and spring plus they are very easy to grow. They are versatile and can be planted in your flower beds, borders or containers so they suit any garden.
Planting your ranunculus Soak the bulbs for a few hours to ensure they are hydrated. If you are planting in flower beds or borders make sure the soil is well drained and add some mature manure, if planting in a container add some shingle to the bottom of the container and any multipurpose compost.

To enjoy in your home grow your ranunculus and simply cut the stems just as the buds begin to open and bring them indoors. Follow cut flowers rules and you will have a few weeks of enjoyment from your home grown flowers.
